Professional Qualifications:
- Qualified in Chainsaw and machine use and in specialist arboriculture practices (NPTC’s).
- Craft level Arboriculture qualification from Merrist Wood in Surrey - the leading Arb. College in the UK.
- First degree in Biology from Napier University.
- Masters degree in Forestry from Aberdeen University.
- SNH Bat licence gained 2008 and renewed 2010.
Experience
Donald has worked in the Arboriculture Industry in the UK, Canada and New Zealand before returning to his home town of Inverness to bring his experience to the Highlands.
Professional Memberships
Donald is a member of the International Society of Arboriculture, the Arboriculture Association and the Highland Arboriculture Association.
Other members of the team
Ricky Maclean – Tree climber, chainsaw operator and general wood craftsman. Ricky has an HNC in Arboriculture and has worked for a year in Canada to broaden his experience.
Michael Winstanley – Tree climber and chainsaw operator has an HNC in Arboriculture and years of experience working with trees in many countries around the world.
Katy Martin – Is a licenced bat worker, trainee tree climber and wildlife expert.
